About Us

Hi everyone,

My name is Jamie Faber and I am a special education teacher/infant and toddler developmental specialist in Florida.

I have a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Adelphi University, and Early Childhood Special Education from Touro College. For the past 12 years I have been working as a special instructor (SI) in early intervention (EI) providing home-based services for children from birth to three years with developmental diagnoses. In addition, I have experience as a pre-school teacher and have worked with older children aged 3-5 years. Today, I provide EI services for children in Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties.

I am closely involved with families and children implementing the individualized family service plan (IFSP) functional outcomes and short-term objectives. I consistently collaborate with the families to target the child’s strengths and weaknesses within the specified service time.  Outside sources (i.e. sensory gyms, Gymboree and Mommy and Me classes) are utilized to encourage and facilitate socialization and interpersonal skills. As a mandated reporter, I’m constantly assessing family home environments for safety. Early childhood interventionists are an integral part of the EI processes where collaboration with other service providers are engaged on a regular basis. This is a collaborative service where all disciplines should be involved.

We also participate in Step Up For Students – Unique Abilities from ages 3-12 and the family empowerment program for children diagnosed with disabilities In the same age range.

Hope you see you and your children soon,

-Jamie
